Defend the future of LLU+

As you may have heard, the management at London South Bank University (LSBU) is proposing in excess of 100 redundancies. On Friday 18th June LLU+ staff were told that the future of LLU+’s work and all posts are under threat as, despite the university's commitment to widening participation, our work is not perceived to be 'core business'. We are determined to challenge this proposal and it is essential that we present a very strong case to the university executive over the next few weeks about the importance of our work locally, regionally and nationally.
 
Your testimonial and support at this time  will be invaluable.  In order to help us make as strong a case as possible, we are asking all our friends, colleagues, stakeholders, current and previous trainees/learners to support us in a number of ways:

For trainees, learners and funders currently working us, we have assurance from LSBU re. honouring existing contracts and courses. In addition, we are both seeking and responding to expressions of interest regarding possible relocation of LLU+ as a going concern with. However, we are hoping that with a strong case and plenty of national support, we can keep the work of LLU+ - and our jobs - at LSBU.
