Posted: 09 June 2010 LLU+ is launching a new blended version of their Level 5 integrated Diploma in Teaching English (ESOL/Literacy) in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTELLS). The first year of this 2 year part-time course will be taught through a combination of 5 face-to-face days, online taught sessions and e-learning activities. It will run from September 2010 and is open for enrolment from ESOL and literacy teachers across the country. This diploma course is designed to enable you to gain the skills and knowledge required to become a fully qualified teacher of adult literacy or ESOL. It aims to enhance the skills of its trainees so that they can confidently teach in any post 16 context, such as FE colleges, offender learning, work based learning and so on. Applicants must be part qualified and be teaching ESOL or literacy in the post compulsory sector. They must have at least a year’s experience and be teaching no less than 4 hours per week. Good IT skills and broadband access are essential. Year 1 of the course runs from 27 September 2010 to 8 July 2011.
