Medway Adult Learning Services

Medway Adult Learning Service, through its Professional Development Centre, offers a range of qualifications to enable those who work, or are considering a career change to work, as teachers, tutors, trainers, technicians and support staff in the Lifelong Learning Sector ie adult and community education, work-based learning and the voluntary sector.

These qualifications have recently been revised in line with the new professional standards for teachers, tutors and trainers, and include an initial teaching award; qualifications leading to Qualified Teacher, Learning and Skills (QTLS) status; as well as other intermediate, advanced and specialist teaching qualifications.

Delivery of teacher training courses will take place in the newly refurbished Professional Development Centre (PDC) in Rochester. This brand new facility comprises a training room with ICT suite, and a separate resource/study area.
