The Essential Skills Support Unit (ESSU) was established in 2002 to Support Hampshire and Isle of Wight learning providers to improve quality and build the capacity of their Skills for Life provision. Working in partnership with business, schools, colleges and the wider community in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, the Essential Skills Support Unit brokers mutually beneficial relationships and facilitates learning programmes and initiatives that support Skills for Life.

We aim to be an exceptional provider of quality support. We pride ourselves on being able to respond flexibly to changing priorities and opportunities, providing high quality services and valuing our relationships with clients and customers. This includes:-
